The 1969 Chevelle your about to witness is one bad boy! The Buck stops here. I’m referring to Charlie Buck of Buck Racing Engines. This Chevelle went through a complete restoration making it a perfect combination of a show car and driver. I’ve nick named it “Crazy Train” because it was built to give you one heck of a ride!
ALL ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Key words that describe this unique piece of American muscle:
1. The 1969 Chevelle was the second year for the famous A-body design. The 1968 was a big hit but the 1969 was even bigger with the new appointments. My father-in-law ordered a 1969 Chevelle from the dealer exactly how he wanted it and owned the car for almost 20 years. He swears it was the best car he’s ever owned. My first Chevelle was also a 1969.
2. This Chevelle has gone through a complete restoration. The body is straight and the gap lines are nice. Everything has been restored mostly to factory specifications other than the engine, wheels and steering wheel. A complete description of all the entire restoration is listed below.
3. One of the unique features of this Chevelle is the exterior and interior color combination. The car is painted in Dusk blue metallic and is complimented with a white side stripe and white emblems. As most Chevelles would have black interior this Chevelle sports a beautiful blue interior. What a sweet combination! Everything on the exterior is new.
4. The interior of this car was restored to factory correct specifications except for the Flaming River steering wheel and custom carpeted SS floor mats. It also has a matching trunk mat. The interior is all new and the craftsmanship is excellent.
5. The heart of the car is a Buck Racing Engine! Charlie Buck of North Carolina is one of the best engine builders on the East Coast. His reputation is excellent because his engines make serious horsepower. Are you up to the challenge?
6. The transmission is a completely rebuilt M21 4-speed. It shifts tightly through the gears. The bucket seats, center console and Hurst shifter bring out the inner emotions that an American Muscle car should.
7. The rear end is a completely rebuilt 12 bolt with posi traction. The gear ratio is 331, which allows for both city and highway driving.
8. The “Pro Touring” three-piece wheels were built by Boze Forged who are the one of best wheel manufactures in the country. The front wheels are 19X8 with 255/40ZR/19 tires and the rear wheels are 20X10 with 275/40ZR/20 tires. These wheels look perfect paired up with this Chevelle. The design of the wheels keeps that racing appearance.
9. The 3” exhaust system allows the engine to breathe easy. It sounds fantastic. Get on the gas and listen to her roar!
Introduction: Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro from www.msclassiccarsllc.com. You might recognize my name from other magnificent classic cars I’ve listed for sale nationally. I feature beautiful cars at every Barrett Jackson auction and have been fortunate to have sold some in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles. I’ve also featured classic cars featured at the Carlisle Expo and Atlantic City auctions. Magazines such as Mustangs and Fords, Mustang Enthusiast, Mustang Times, Smoke Signals and the DuPont Registry have highlighted my cars. I specialize in extremely detailed classic cars. I buy cars that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and also coordinate complete restorations from start to finish. I strongly feel my cars have that “POP” factor. Although my classic cars are custom I try to keep the perfect mixture of old and new.
The Market: I’ve been playing with classic cars for over ten years now and have realized that the classic car market is a great place to invest money. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong and when the economy isn’t strong the classic car market holds its own. I’ve sold cars for strong prices in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such great investments are because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars! I’ve learned it’s not just a certain group of people but all different types of people and ages. An example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions. Not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions.
I’ve always told people that extremely detailed classic cars will always attract top dollar. Everyone recognizes and appreciates attention to detail. Currently the custom classic car market is very strong mostly because every car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. The factory correct classic cars have overall also remained strong. The type of car and its availability, options and documentation plays a major part. People always mention that the classic car market is down in conversation but the reality is it isn’t. I ask people to elaborate on the statement they made and they get tongue twisted. Yes, certain cars a few years ago were bringing much more than they are today. An example would be a 1969 Camaro Z28. In 2007 I attended Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach, FL and every #1 condition 1969 Camaro Z28 was averaging $90,000+. Fast-forward three years later and there averaging $60,000+. The reason for the drop isn’t the classic car market or the economy; it’s the fact that the market was saturated with 1969 Camaro Z28’s. Most of buyers bought when the car was hot and then everyone and there brother went out and restored 1969 Camaros and now there’s multiple cars to chose from at every auction and every classic car website. The opposite thing has happened with other cars such as a 1969 Mustang Shelby GT500. A few years ago they were selling in the $60,000 range and now they’re selling in the $90,000 range. People who really study the classic car market realize it’s a very good to invest in classic cars but only if you know what’s hot and what’s not.
As I mentioned above, I’ve sold many custom classic cars over the years and this Chevelle you’re about to see is something very special and deserves top dollar. It’s got a great look and enough power to back it up! Read on...
The Description:
As I mentioned above the 1969 Chevelle is a really desirable year for the A-body design. The front grill, two headlights on each side, two bumps on the hood, rear bumper design and instrument cluster really make it a classic. I’ve owned many Chevelles but haven’t had a 1969 for years. When this Chevelle rolled off the enclosed trailer I immediately got excited. Not only could I see the sun reflecting off the beautiful Dusk blue metallic paint, but also I could hear its deep rumble. The car was purchased sight unseen so I did a very close inspection and overall was very impressed. I didn’t have many of the restoration details but have seen enough classic cars to know what’s been done. This was obviously a complete restoration that someone spent a lot of time and money on. The exterior body is straight and the gap lines are great. The doors open and close really nice. The paint job is really nice and shines nicely. All of the exterior items such as the bumpers, headlights, lenses, emblems, grill, etc are new. The glass is in excellent shape and the window trim has been buffed. The Dusk blue metallic paint with the white stripe and white emblems is really cool. THE CAR CAME WITH AMERICAN RACING TORQUE THRUST WHEELS THAT I REPLACED WITH BOZE FORGED “PRO TOURING” CUSTOM BUILT THREE PIECE WHEELS. THE FRONT WHEELS ARE 19X8 WITH 255/40ZR/19 TIRES AND THE REARS ARE 20X10 WITH 275/40ZR/20 TIRES. The interior has been completely restored and everything is in new condition. The blue interior is very unique and matches the exterior paint perfectly. It’s equipped with bucket seats, center console and a few extra gauges besides the SS factory gauges. THE CAR CAME WITH A CORRECT FACTORY STEERING WHEEL THAT I REPLACEDWITH A FLAMING RIVER “WATERFALL” STEERING WHEEL. THE NEW STEERING WHEEL ADDS AN EXTRA TOUCH TO THE INTERIOR AND COMPLIMENTS THE NEW WHEELS. The engine compartment has been completely restored. The engine is the highlight of this area because it was built by Charlie Buck of Buck Racing Engines in North Carolina. Buck Racing Engines all have their own serial number and custom nameplate on the valve covers. These engines are very powerful but also very reliable. This engine starts and runs excellent. The temperature of the engine runs at 170 degrees. It’s equipped with aluminum heads, Hooker Headers, MSD ignition and wires, electric fan, etc. The power steering and power brakes make it a pleasure to drive. The clutch is easy to use and the gears shift smooth. The undercarriage of this Chevelle is very clean but not over the top. Everything was restored and made clean and presentable.
Conclusion: This Chevelle was built to be a very nice show car that could lay a strip of rubber a mile long! It’s a show quality car that deserves the right owner who will take care of it. It’s a fresh restoration and hasn’t been driven much since completion. The new owner of “Crazy Train” will be proud to call it there’s. This Chevelle will be a crowd attraction! So grab your ticket and come aboard, this trains leaving. Vehicle can be inspected by appointment only. Please call me @ 401-339-8966 or email me with any questions. Thank you.
