Marc Shiliro's Classic Cars
You're looking at another beautiful classic car listed by MS CLASSIC CARS!
1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom "Ruby"
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS.  You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars, trucks and motorcycles I’ve collected and sold nationally.  I’ve got over 20 years of classic vehicle experience.  I’d like to put that experience to work for you.  I’ve learned a lot and I’m educated in many different makes and models ranging from the early 1900’s to current.  Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 400 classic vehicles which I’m very proud of.  I sell a large percentage of my inventory from networking and from the various websites I advertise on.  I sell a small percentage of my inventory at various auctions such as Barrett Jackson.  I’ve set over 15 world record prices on various makes and models.  I’ve also featured many classic vehicles at different auctions across the United States. I’ve had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites.  I specialize in beautiful classic vehicles that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I collect classic vehicles that are already completed and slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish.
The MS CLASSIC CARS showroom is located in Seekonk, Massachusetts and was established in 2012.  The MS CLASSIC CARS service department and multiple storage facilities are also located in Seekonk, Massachusetts.  The MS CLASSIC CARS operations are closed to the public.  A private viewing of a vehicle can be made scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday.  The MS CLASSIC CARS inventory consists of roughly 40 classic cars and trucks that we own, service and detail.  We’re one of the only dealerships who document the service work we do to every vehicle with an invoice.  Each vehicle is presented with detailed descriptions and multiple photos.  We offer no consignment inventory.  When you call you deal directly with me. I know each vehicle well and will go over the vehicle of your interest in full detail.  I’ll also assist you with any other needs such as trades, financing, insurance or shipping.  I promise to make the process from start to finish easy and enjoyable.  I take a lot of pride in my business and my reputation reflects that.  I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.  “MS CLASSIC CARS isn’t just another dealer.  MS CLASSIC CARS is a brand.”

I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over 15 years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only on the internet and auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars.  These people aren’t just one age group but all different ages ranging from very young to very old.  It’s a much diversified market.  I've learned it's not just people in the United States but its people all over the world.  Roughly 20% of my sales are from people who live outside of the United States.  Some examples would be Canada, Australia, Mexico and Europe.  Also from what I’ve learned roughly 20% of bidders at auctions are also  people who live outside the United States.

Over the years I've noticed that the higher quality classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Over the last 10 years the overall market has been very strong and I believe it will continue to grow.  Certain classic cars prices are on the rise and others are on the decline.  It’s all about supply and demand not about a good or bad economy.  The classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people want but there aren’t many on the market for sale.  The classic cars that are on the decline are the cars that a lot of people don’t want anymore and there’s many on the market for sale. Of course, if the car is a rare model and spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. Desirable factory correct classic cars that are documented with matching numbers always make solid investments.  Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character and there worth what people are willing to pay.

Prior to this business I was just a blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz.  I was very passionate about classic cars and trucks so I decided to sell them part time.  Although I had my used car dealer’s license I didn’t have my own dealership.  Overall things were going just fine but my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership.  I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership.  I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen which required using my family’s savings and acquiring loans such as a home equity line of credit.  I also now would have a lot of overhead that I didn’t have before.  The bottom line is I went all in.  Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong?  “I’m putting my money where my mouth is”.

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom “Ruby” – Shelby and Roush Inspired

The ultimate 67 Mustang restomod!

Autographed by Carroll Shelby and Jack Roush.

Multiple award winner including the MCA Nationals “Lark Bragg”award.

Magazine Cover car for “Modified Mustangs and Fords” and “Mustang Magazine”.

This outstanding 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom is the ultimate restomod and has been nick named “Ruby”. Life for this car started as a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback S-code -390 V8. It was the product of a three year, 1300 man-hour rotisserie restoration. It’s in show quality condition throughout and loaded with many high-end components. It’s powered by a Roush Performance aluminum 468 FE V8 w/ 500+HP and a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission. This car was autographed by Carroll Shelby and Jack Roush. A Certificate of Authenticity from Carroll Shelby for autographing and a photo of Jack Roush autographing are included. It’s a multiple award winner including the MCA Nationals “Lark Bragg” award. A photo of awards is included and the mention of MCA award is mentioned in magazine but awards are not included. It was a magazine cover car for “Modified Mustangs and Fords” and “Mustang Magazine”. These two magazines are included.

As the VIN number and Marti Auto Works Deluxe Report indicate this car was originally built at San Jose as a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback S-code – 390 4V V8. It was a stock order by dealer name Lousteau Ford located in Gonzales, LA. The exterior color was Wimbledon White and the interior color was Red with standard bucket seats. It was ordered with the following options: GT Equipment Group, C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic, F70-14 Wide Oval tires, white sidewall nylon tires, sport deck rear seat, power steering, air conditioning, AM radio and tinted glass.

THE STORY: From the information gathered the car spent its entire life down south. It was discovered and purchased by a gentleman in Florida named Steve Richmond. As quoted from “Modified Mustangs and Fords” magazine: “Steve was a paint and body man for 23 years. With his workspace dialed in, Steve got to work on the Mustang, which he found out started life as an original 390-powered, GT Fastback with air conditioning. Steve considered restoring it once he found out what the numbers said, but he ultimately determined that the car was too far gone to bother with a restoration and proceeded with the Eleanor conversion. Steve took note of the Fastback’s poor overall condition, concluding that a previous owner had drag raced the white over red pony car. The 390 was long gone, replaced with a tired 302. And so began hours upon hours of metal work, fiberglass work and body work. Steve said, “I was going to do blue with gray stripes and I looked at a lot of bright blues, but they all had a purple cast to them. I went back to my old standard –pretty much every car I’ve had has been red.” For this build, Steve chose Fords late-model Redfire Metallic complemented with likewise modern shade of gray, Tungsten, for the stripes. And like the Pepper Gray, the Eleanor hood wasn’t Steve’s first choice either. He opted for a fiberglass Shelby-style GT 500 hood with louvers- he actually refabricated the louvers to his liking. Steve also planned for a Super Snake stripe down the center of the car, which worked better with the 500s hood lines. Making sure that his Mustang was no slouch, Steve dropped big money on one of Roush Performance’s FE crate engines. The all-aluminum powerplant cranks out 500hp at the flywheel and more than 550 lb-ft of torque. Backing up the stout engine is a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission and a Fab9 9” rear end. Since completion, the Mustang has hauled in a host of Best of Show trophies but Steve’s most interesting award came from the 2010 Pensacola MCA National Show where it won the “Lark Bragg” award.”

Steve decided to sell the car in 2014 after many years of enjoyment. He consigned it to the Mecum Auction located in Kissimmee, FL. Coincidentally MS CLASSIC CARS owner Marc Schiliro attended that auction and checked out this car from top to bottom. He thought it was one of the best and so did a lot of other people. It ended up selling on Friday January 24th, 2014 for $185,000.00. The gentleman who purchased the car invested well over $200,000.00 including the auction commission, sales tax and shipping. This gentleman lived in Ohio and treated this car with TLC. He enjoyed the car with his son taking it to car shows and occasional rides around town. He decided after six years of ownership it was time to sell the car. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car in May of 2020. Since the restoration was completed it only has been driven a total of 2,683 miles. MS CLASSIC CARS nick named the car “Ruby” because of the color. Eleanor, meet your sister Ruby.
The exterior of this car is outstanding and absolutely gorgeous. The design of this car with this body kit has proven to be a huge hit. The body work fit and finish is excellent unlike most of the second generation Mustangs with body kits. During the restoration most of the sheet metal was replaced. It sports a fiberglass GT500 hood with re-fabricated louvers and billet hood pins. The custom front nose aligns to the hood and fenders beautifully. The custom fender moldings, lower moldings with exhaust cut outs and side scoops are molded onto the body with no seams. The custom rear deck lid, quarter caps, rear panel, rear bumper and lower valiance also align beautifully. The body is very straight with excellent gaps throughout. The hood, doors and deck lid close very nicely. The car was finished in PPG Base/Clear Redfire Metallic paint with Gray Super Snake stripes. This color combination works perfectly together and is stunning in the sunlight. The paint job is high show quality and ocean deep throughout. The Super Snake stripes and the lower rocker stripes were painted on and clear coated over. All of the glass is new and tinted throughout. All of the window trim including the side vents was restored or replaced and looks brilliant. Some of the exterior appointments include chrome dual Shelby style mirrors, custom upper and lower front grill, custom lights and rear quarter Shelby gas cap with functioning filler. It has a great stance on Raceline 239-GT polished wheels that are 18x8 on the front and 18x10 on the back. The wheels are wrapped with Nitto NT555 tires that are 245/40/ZR18 on the front and 275/40/ZR18 on the back.

The interior of this car is also outstanding and absolutely gorgeous. The black interior really complements the Redfire Metallic with Gray stripes. The cabin was stripped to an empty shell during the restoration and was covered with heat and sound insulation. Everything in the interior was replaced new including such items as the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, dash pad, dash, dash hardware, door sills, door panels, seats, carpeting etc. Some of the custom features include four-point roll bar with G-Force Pro Series harness, chrome fire extinguisher, stainless trim throughout, Autometer Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite white face gauges, brushed tilt steering column, Moto-Lita wood steering wheel, TCP pedals, Procar bucket seats, matching folding rear seat, center console with storage compartment, TKO shifter with black shift knob, Alpine stereo head unit, kick panel speakers, and carpeted floor mats with Cobra logo. The trunk compartment was completely carpeted and is home to the Optima Yellow Top battery. A power cut off knob was installed under the passenger seat.

The engine compartment is highly detailed with many custom features throughout. Jack Roush signed the backside bottom of the hood. The hood is supported with billet hood hinges that were added by MS CLASSIC CARS. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator support was painted the body color which looks amazing. The gray Super Snake stripes continue down on the inside of the cowl area. The Total Control Products tower and fender brace adds stability. The car is powered by a Roush Performance aluminum 468 FE V8 w/ 500+HP. Some of the engine details include a Shelby aluminum block, 4.25-inch bore, 4.18 inch stroke, Scat forged steel crankshaft, Scat forged steel connecting rods, Wiseco forged aluminum pistons, Edelbrock FE aluminum cylinder heads, 2.09-inch intake/1.66-inch exhaust valves, port-matched, Harland Sharp, 1.76:1 roller rocker arms, Crane hydraulic roller camshaft, 302/308 advertised duration, 0.598/0.616-inch lift at 0.050, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and 10:1 compression. The engine is dressed with black Shelby valve covers, black Shelby air cleaner and a custom front runner pulley system. It has a new Holley Performance Quick Fuel Street Brawler 750 carburetor and complete MSD electronic ignition system.  This engine has been tuned and runs excellent. The engine is cooled by a Be-Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and a billet over fill canister. The engine breathes through FPA long tube ceramic coated headers and a 2 ½ stainless exhaust system with SpinTech mufflers. The side exhaust exits the cut outs in the lower rocker molding and sounds awesome. The engine is coupled to a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission. It’s equipped with a McLeod 12-inch clutch and a Roush Performance billet steel flywheel. This clutch is easy to operate and shifting through the gears is a blast. The power is transferred through the Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Fab9 9-inch POSI rear end. It has a Strange Engineering third member, 31-spline axles and 3.70 gears.

The undercarriage of this car is nicely detailed with many high end components throughout. The undercarriage is nice enough to display with mirrors at a car show. The bottom of the car was painted black for durability. It’s equipped with a Total Control Products power rack and pinion steering system. It’s equipped with a Total Control Products front suspension system including coilovers and a rear suspension system including a G-bar four link with coilovers. It’s equipped with ABS power brake electric power assist system including Wilwood four wheel discs brakes with 13” rotors. It also has a billet master cylinder. The Fuel Safe fuel cell is nicely tucked under the rear.

“Ruby” girl has it going on! She’s a great looker and a great driver.  A 39”x 26” framed display board is included. This is a great opportunity to own a great car. ROCK AND ROLL.

***MS CLASSIC CARS purchases beautiful classic vehicles that we’ve serviced and detailed unlike most classic vehicles that are currently being advertised for sale.   This is documented with an invoice pictured below.  Please understand every vehicle needs something.  Some vehicles just need a lot more than others.  At MS CLASSIC CARS we take eliminate the surprises.  We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. ***

MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of $5,480.52 servicing this vehicle including the parts and labor.  An invoice is pictured below that documents everything.  MS CLASSIC CARS also invested $600.00 in detailing the vehicle from top to bottom.

Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers, private parties and auctions aren't exactly what are being advertised for sale.  This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different.  The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages.  Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration.  An example would be a classic vehicle that's  being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc.  Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored.  There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components.  The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale.  A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!

MS CLASSIC CARS specializes in beautiful classic cars and trucks that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I personally have selected these vehicles and take pride in what I represent.  I'm not a classic car dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck.  I’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale.  Most of these vehicles aren’t being advertised correctly and haven’t been serviced or detailed.  This business is my career and reputation which means everything to me.  I do the best of my ability to represent quality classic cars and advertise them honestly.  To be clear I’m not in the restoration business.  I represent classic vehicles that have already been restored.

This vehicle is owned by MS CLASSIC CARS and is located in Seekonk, MA.  I personally have seen, touched and driven this vehicle.  This vehicle has been through a service and detail process which is documented with an MS CLASSIC CARS invoice.  I write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answer all the calls and emails.  I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I know about it.  I'll also give you my opinion if it’s truly the right vehicle for you. I’ll consider all trades and also offer financing if necessary.   Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I’ll make it a very easy process from start to finish.  Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air.  A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package.  I’ll also assist in shipping your vehicle to its new home.

If you've read the introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world.  I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value.  I look forward to working with you.  Please read my website testimonials and eBay positive feedback.  Thank you for the opportunity!
