Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS. You might recognize my name or my business name from the beautiful classic cars, trucks and motorcycles I’ve collected and sold nationally. I’ve got over 25 years of classic vehicle experience and continue to learn more every day. I’ve learned a lot and I’m educated in many different makes and models ranging from the early 1900’s to current. I specialize in beautiful classic vehicles that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I only collect number one and number two condition vehicles that are already completed. We slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish but don’t do this anymore. Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 700 classic vehicles which can be seen on the company website sold page. The vehicles are sold to previous customers, referrals and are sold from advertising on various websites, online auctions and live auctions. We’ve featured many classic vehicles at different auctions across the United States. We’ve had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I’m proud to say that MS CLASSIC CARS has accomplished some great things with our vehicles over the years. People recognize value in our vehicles and doing business with us. The MS CLASSIC CARS showroom is located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. This location was established in 2012. The MS CLASSIC CARS service department and multiple storage facilities are also located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. The MS CLASSIC CARS operations are closed to the public. A private viewing of a vehicle can be made scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday. The MS CLASSIC CARS inventory consists of roughly 50 classic cars and trucks that we own, service and detail. We’re the only dealership in the country that services every vehicle we sell and documents it with an invoice. I stand behind every vehicle we sell. I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over 25 years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only on the internet and auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars. These people aren’t just one age group but all different ages ranging from very young to very old. It’s a very diverse market. I've learned it's not just people in the United States but its people all over the world.

Over the years I've noticed that the higher quality classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Over the last 20 years the overall market has been very strong and I believe it will continue to grow. Certain classic cars prices are on the rise and others are on the decline. It’s all about supply and demand, not about a good or bad economy. The classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people want but there aren’t many on the market for sale. The classic cars that are on the decline are the cars that a lot of people don’t want anymore and there’s many on the market for sale. Of course, if the car is a rare model and spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. Desirable factory correct classic cars that are documented with matching numbers always make solid investments. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character and there worth what people are willing to pay.

Prior to this business I was just a blue collar guy who was working full time at Viti Mercedes Benz located in Tiverton, RI. They’re recognized for being one of the best Mercedes Benz dealerships in the country for customer service. I was very passionate about classic cars and trucks so I decided to sell them part time. Although I had my used car dealer’s license I didn’t have my own dealership. Overall things were going just fine but my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen which required using my family’s savings and acquiring loans such as a home equity line of credit. I also took on a lot of overhead that I didn’t have before. The bottom line is I went all in. This exquisite 1960 Chevrolet Corvette 283/270 Convertible is great example of an original matching numbers iconic American Classic Sports Car. It was the product of a high show quality restoration. It’s currently listed in The Corvette C1 Registry. In 1960, a total of 10,261 Corvettes were produced. Of those only 766 were painted Horizon Blue and only 2,364 were produced with the dual quad 283/270hp V8. This example was produced on May 6th, 1960 in St. Louis, MO. It was ordered with a Horizon Blue and Ermine White coves exterior, white soft top and a Blue interior. It’s equipped with the following options (101)- heater, (102) –Am Radio, (107) –parking brake alarm, (108)-courtesy lights, (109)- windshield wipers, (121)-temperature controlled radiator fan, (261)- sunshades, (290)- 6.70x15 whitewall tires, (440)- two tone paint, (469C)-283 270HP engine 2 4bbl carburetors and (675)- positraction rear axle. It was purchased on June 20th, 2000 by its last owner who lives in Barrington, RI. This gentleman treated the car to the best of care during his 23 years of ownership. It was primary used as an occasional driver and show car. The exterior appearance is simply stunning with its stylish design and beautiful color combination. The body is very straight with excellent gap lines throughout. It was re-finished its original factory correct color of Horizon Blue with Ermine White coves. The ocean deep paint was recently detailed to a brilliant shine. It was outfitted with a brand new white soft top that was stamped with April 1960 date. The front windshield and door glass is new with stamps. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as the glass trim, driver’s side mirror, fender trim and headlight bezels, front grill, front split bumpers, license plate frame, door handles, cove trim, antenna, rear tail light bezels and lenses, rear spilt bumpers and emblems throughout. It’s equipped with quadruple T-3 headlights. The car sits perfectly on 15” blue painted steel wheels with Spinner hub caps. The wheels are wrapped with American Classic 6.70-R15 whitewall tires. An extra set of 15” blue painted steel wheels with B.F. Goodrich Silvertown 6.70-15 4 ply whitewall tires are included for judging purposes. The interior was restored in its original factory correct color of Frost Blue which is gorgeous especially with a matching exterior. The blue padded and painted dash houses the factory black gauges. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and tachometer. The cabin features two bucket seats, a dash-mounted rear view mirror, seat belts, carpeted floor mats and an Antique Automobile 1959-1960 Corvette Wonderbar AM/FM/Bluetooth radio. The fully restored trunk compartment has a correct style rubber trunk mat. It’s equipped with a full spare tire along with a jack and tools. The engine compartment is highly detailed with many correct parts. It’s powered by the original matching numbers 283/270hp V8 engine. It was completely rebuilt with the correct Duntov high performance cam shaft and solid lifters. It’s outfitted with the two Carter WCFB 4-bbl carburetors. The engine is cooled by the top tank radiator which is unique to the 1960 model year. It’s also equipped with a temperature controlled radiator fan which is a unique option for 1960 model year. The engine breathes through a correct high performance exhaust system with front crossover. The rear tail pipes were slightly extended through the rear split bumpers to keep it clean. The engine is coupled to a T-10 4-speed transmission and positraction rear axle with 3.70 gears. The undercarriage is also highly detailed with many correct parts. The rear stabilizer bar was first introduced in 1960. Some additional items including a car cover are included. Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers, private parties and auctions aren't exactly what are being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!
