Marc Shiliro's Classic Cars
You're looking at another beautiful classic car listed by MS CLASSIC CARS!
1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1 Coupe
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS.  You might recognize my name or my business name from the beautiful classic cars, trucks and motorcycles I’ve collected and sold nationally.  I’ve got over 25 years of classic vehicle experience and continue to learn more every day. I’ve learned a lot and I’m educated in many different makes and models ranging from the early 1900’s to current. I specialize in beautiful classic vehicles that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I only collect number one and number two condition vehicles that are already completed. We slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish but don’t do this anymore. Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 700 classic vehicles which can be seen on the company website sold page. The vehicles are sold to previous customers, referrals and are sold from advertising on various websites, online auctions and live auctions. We’ve featured many classic vehicles at different auctions across the United States. We’ve had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I’m proud to say that MS CLASSIC CARS has accomplished some great things with our vehicles over the years. People recognize value in our vehicles and doing business with us. I consider myself to be an expert in the classic car business and would like to put my experience to work for you.

The MS CLASSIC CARS showroom is located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. This location was established in 2012. The MS CLASSIC CARS service department and multiple storage facilities are also located in Seekonk, Massachusetts.  The MS CLASSIC CARS operations are closed to the public.  A private viewing of a vehicle can be made scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday.  The MS CLASSIC CARS inventory consists of roughly 50 classic cars and trucks that we own, service and detail.  We’re the only dealership in the country that services every vehicle we sell and documents it with an invoice. I stand behind every vehicle we sell.  Each vehicle is presented with a detailed description, 150+ high quality photos and a video.  We don’t offer consignments.  When you call you deal directly with me. I know each vehicle well and will go over the vehicle of your interest in full detail.  I’ll also assist you with any other needs such as trades, financing, insurance or enclosed shipping.  I promise to make the process from start to finish easy and enjoyable.  I take a lot of pride in this business and our reputation reflects that.  I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.  “MS CLASSIC CARS isn’t just another dealer.  MS CLASSIC CARS is a brand.”

Sincerely,
Marc Schiliro – The owner

I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over 25 years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only on the internet and auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars.  These people aren’t just one age group but all different ages ranging from very young to very old.  It’s a very diverse market.  I've learned it's not just people in the United States but its people all over the world.

Over the years I've noticed that the higher quality classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Over the last 20 years the overall market has been very strong and I believe it will continue to grow.  Certain classic cars prices are on the rise and others are on the decline.  It’s all about supply and demand, not about a good or bad economy.  The classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people want but there aren’t many on the market for sale.  The classic cars that are on the decline are the cars that a lot of people don’t want anymore and there’s many on the market for sale. Of course, if the car is a rare model and spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. Desirable factory correct classic cars that are documented with matching numbers always make solid investments.  Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character and there worth what people are willing to pay.

Prior to this business I was just a blue collar guy who was working full time at Viti Mercedes Benz located in Tiverton, RI. They’re recognized for being one of the best Mercedes Benz dealerships in the country for customer service.  I was very passionate about classic cars and trucks so I decided to sell them part time.  Although I had my used car dealer’s license I didn’t have my own dealership.  Overall things were going just fine but my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership.  I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership.  I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen which required using my family’s savings and acquiring loans such as a home equity line of credit.  I also took on a lot of overhead that I didn’t have before.  The bottom line is I went all in.  Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong?  “I’m putting my money where my mouth is”. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Marc Schiliro – The Owner

This beautiful 1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1 Coupe is a very authentic example with only 44,375 original miles. It’s one of only 1,741 LT1 models produced in 1972.  As the NCRS “Confirmation of Existence of Judging Awards” letter documents this vehicle achieved a Chapter Second Flight Award with a final score of 93.6 and Chapter Top Flight Award with a final score of 97.9. The third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982. The C3 coupes featured the first use of T-top removable roof panels.  As the original 1972 Corvette Order form documents the order was received on March 30th, 1972.  As the NCRS “Shipping Data Report” letter documents the GM official production date was May 4th, 1972.  As the original window sticker documents this vehicle was built in St. Louis, MO as a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette with a Targa Blue exterior and blue vinyl interior. It was built with the following options: (PU9)- F70 x 15 white lettered tires, (U69)- AM/FM pushbutton radio, (N40)- power steering, (LT1) – 255HP Turbo-Fire Special 350 V8, (M21)- 4-speed close-ratio transmission and (J50) –power brakes. It was retailed by Gates Chevrolet Corporation located in South Bend, IN. From the information gathered it remained in Indiana for roughly 35 years. In the mid 2000’s it was lightly restored which included the exterior paint and some interior trim. Over the years mechanical work was done as needed but it was never mechanically restored.  It eventually found its way to Michigan in 2008 and then to California in 2010. It was sold to well-known classic car collector from Scottsbluff, NE in 2012 where it remained for the next 10 years. The following original items are included: 1972 Corvette Order Form, window sticker, owner’s manual’s with plastic cover, T-top leather covers, vehicle inspection receipt from 1974, hand written service records from 1974-1987, miscellaneous service receipts from 1986-2010, registrations from 2010-2011, parking permit from 2012, NCRS “Shipping Date Report”, NCRS “Confirmation of Existence of Judging Awards”, judging sheet and award.

The exterior of this car is in beautiful condition throughout. The body is straight and all the gap lines are very nice. During the exterior re-painting process the front fender grilles were removed and re-shaped to appear like a 1974 and newer model. The car was painted in its original color of Targa Blue which dresses this body perfectly. The paint was recently detailed to a show quality shine. The painted LT1 white hood stripe really sets this car apart from its siblings. The T-tops are quickly removable and open up the cabin space to fresh air. The original side and rear glass has the Safety Flo Lite factory stamps. The side glass also reads Astro-Ventilation. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the driver’s side mirror, front bumper, side moldings, rear antenna, tail lights bezels and lenses, rear bumpers and emblems. The door handles are original and do have some patina. The car sits proudly on re-finished 15” Rally wheels with new trim rings and center caps. The wheels are wrapped with Firestone Super Sport Wide Oval F70-15 whitewall tires.

The interior of this car is also in beautiful condition throughout. It was lightly restored in its original color of blue vinyl which complements the exterior perfectly. The back side of the roof panels, sun visors, dash, steering column, door panels, bucket seats, seat belts, carpeting and floor mats are blue. Its sports factory black gauges and a three-spoke steering wheel with black wrap. The clock is in working order. The full length center console is also blue with black trim. The original stereo was restored and a Rockford Fosgate amplifier was added.

The engine compartment is mostly original and very clean throughout. It still retains the original emissions sticker. The car is powered by its original matching numbers (LTI) 350 V8 that was factory rated with 255HP. With only 44,375 original miles the engine didn’t need rebuilding. The engine was recently serviced and runs excellent. It’s been dressed with the factory chrome air cleaner. The engine breathes through the factory manifolds and dual exhaust system which sounds sweet. The engine is coupled to the original matching numbers (M21) 4-speed manual transmission. Once again, with only 44,375 original miles the transmission didn’t need rebuilding.  The transmission shifts precisely through the gears.
The undercarriage is also mostly original and very clean throughout. It was recently detailed to enhance it which included light painting. The fuel system, steering system, braking system and suspension components were restored or replaced new over the years of routine service.

**PLEASE CALL MS CLASSIC CARS OWNER MARC SCHILIRO FOR A VERY ACCURATE VERBAL DESCRIPTION OF THIS VEHICLE**

***MS CLASSIC CARS only purchases number one and number two condition classic vehicles. We service and detail every vehicle unlike most classic vehicles that are currently being advertised for sale. MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of $7,813.64 servicing and detailing this vehicle. This is documented with an invoice pictured below. We’re the only classic car dealership in the country that does this.  Please understand every vehicle needs something.  Some vehicles just need a lot more than others.  At MS CLASSIC CARS we take eliminate the surprises.  We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. ***

ZZOHpz8JrCkUnfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers, private parties and auctions aren't exactly what are being advertised for sale.  This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different.  The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages.  Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration.  An example would be a classic vehicle that's  being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc.  Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored.  There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components.  The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale.  A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!

MS CLASSIC CARS specializes in beautiful classic cars and trucks that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I personally have selected these vehicles and take pride in what I represent.  I'm not a classic car dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck.  I’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale.  Most of these vehicles aren’t being advertised correctly and haven’t been serviced or detailed.  This business is my career and reputation which means everything to me.  I do the best of my ability to represent quality classic cars and advertise them honestly.  To be clear I’m not in the restoration business.  I represent classic vehicles that have already been restored.

This vehicle is owned by MS CLASSIC CARS and is located in Seekonk, MA.  I personally have seen, touched and driven this vehicle.  This vehicle has been through a service and detail process which is documented with an MS CLASSIC CARS invoice.  I write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answer all the calls and emails.  I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I know about it.  I'll also give you my opinion if it’s truly the right vehicle for you. I’ll consider all trades and also offer financing if necessary.   Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I’ll make it a very easy process from start to finish.  Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air.  A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package.  I’ll also assist in shipping your vehicle to its new home.

If you've read the introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world.  I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value.  I look forward to working with you.  Please read my website testimonials and eBay positive feedback.  Thank you for the opportunity!
