Marc Shiliro's Classic Cars
You're looking at another beautiful classic car listed by MS CLASSIC CARS!
1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubbletop
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS.  You might recognize my name or my business name from the beautiful classic cars, trucks and motorcycles I’ve collected and sold nationally.  I’ve got over 25 years of classic vehicle experience and continue to learn more every day. I’ve learned a lot and I’m educated in many different makes and models ranging from the early 1900’s to current. I specialize in beautiful classic vehicles that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I only collect number one and number two condition vehicles that are already completed. We slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish but don’t do this anymore. Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 700 classic vehicles which can be seen on the company website sold page. The vehicles are sold to previous customers, referrals and are sold from advertising on various websites, online auctions and live auctions. We’ve featured many classic vehicles at different auctions across the United States. We’ve had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I’m proud to say that MS CLASSIC CARS has accomplished some great things with our vehicles over the years. People recognize value in our vehicles and doing business with us. I consider myself to be an expert in the classic car business and would like to put my experience to work for you.

The MS CLASSIC CARS showroom is located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. This location was established in 2012. The MS CLASSIC CARS service department and multiple storage facilities are also located in Seekonk, Massachusetts.  The MS CLASSIC CARS operations are closed to the public.  A private viewing of a vehicle can be made scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday.  The MS CLASSIC CARS inventory consists of roughly 50 classic cars and trucks that we own, service and detail.  We’re the only dealership in the country that services every vehicle we sell and documents it with an invoice. I stand behind every vehicle we sell.  Each vehicle is presented with a detailed description, 150+ high quality photos and a video.  We don’t offer consignments.  When you call you deal directly with me. I know each vehicle well and will go over the vehicle of your interest in full detail.  I’ll also assist you with any other needs such as trades, financing, insurance or enclosed shipping.  I promise to make the process from start to finish easy and enjoyable.  I take a lot of pride in this business and our reputation reflects that.  I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.  “MS CLASSIC CARS isn’t just another dealer.  MS CLASSIC CARS is a brand.”

Marc Schiliro – The owner

I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over 25 years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only on the internet and auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars.  These people aren’t just one age group but all different ages ranging from very young to very old.  It’s a very diverse market.  I've learned it's not just people in the United States but its people all over the world.

Over the years I've noticed that the higher quality classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Over the last 20 years the overall market has been very strong and I believe it will continue to grow.  Certain classic cars prices are on the rise and others are on the decline.  It’s all about supply and demand, not about a good or bad economy.  The classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people want but there aren’t many on the market for sale.  The classic cars that are on the decline are the cars that a lot of people don’t want anymore and there’s many on the market for sale. Of course, if the car is a rare model and spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. Desirable factory correct classic cars that are documented with matching numbers always make solid investments.  Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character and there worth what people are willing to pay.

Prior to this business I was just a blue collar guy who was working full time at Viti Mercedes Benz located in Tiverton, RI. They’re recognized for being one of the best Mercedes Benz dealerships in the country for customer service.  I was very passionate about classic cars and trucks so I decided to sell them part time.  Although I had my used car dealer’s license I didn’t have my own dealership.  Overall things were going just fine but my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership.  I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership.  I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen which required using my family’s savings and acquiring loans such as a home equity line of credit.  I also took on a lot of overhead that I didn’t have before.  The bottom line is I went all in.  Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong?  “I’m putting my money where my mouth is”. Thank you.

1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubbletop

This gorgeous 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubbletop is simply breathtaking with its stylish design and striking color combination. It was the product of a complete restoration and only has 338 mile since completion. Chevrolet introduced a totally new design for the 1961 Impala. For the first time in several years the full size Chevy was finless. The 1961 Impala still sat on the GM “B” body platform and rolled on a 119 inch wheel base. The Impala body was now 1 ½ inches shorter giving it a trim and boxy look. The Impala line stuck with its signature three taillight designs. The Impala and Bel Air two-door sport coupes each featured new roofline styling known as the “bubbletop”. 1961 was the only year for an Impala two-door sedan model. As the original VIN number and trim tag indicates this car was built in St. Louis, MO on the 3rd week of July as a 1961 Chevrolet Impala 2-door Sport Coupe with an 8 cylinder engine. It had a Roman Red with Ermine White roof and white insert exterior. It had a Red and White interior. It was built with tinted glass and a padded dash. From the information gathered it’s unclear when it was restored. During the restoration the exterior was repainted Roman Red with a White side molding. It was outfitted with the Super Sport trim package and a factory air conditioning system that works excellent. It’s powered by a matching numbers 348 V8 and 3-speed manual transmission.  The car was purchased from a private collector by MS CLASSIC CARS in late 2021 and was completely serviced in July of 2022. This is a wonderful looking and driving car that was restored to enjoy.

The exterior of this car is in beautiful condition throughout. The body is very straight and it has excellent gaps lines. The hood, doors and trunk lid close very nicely. During the restoration the decision was made to paint the roof the red instead of white and keep the white inserts. The show quality paint was recently detailed to a brilliant shine. The front windshield and rear window were both replaced new. The original door glass and quarter glass with E-Z-Eye stamps is in really nice condition with only minor signs of wear. All of the original glass trim is also in really nice condition. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as wipers, dual mirrors, fender trim ornaments, front grill, headlights, front bumper, body molding, door handles, dual antennas, emblems, taillight bezels and lenses, rear bumper and guards. The car is equipped with the factory painted rear fender skirts.  The car sits on 14” painted steel wheels with chrome spinner hub caps and Dean Alpha 365 white wall 215-75-14 tires.

The interior of this car is also in beautiful condition throughout. It was restored in its original color combination of Red and White. The white headliner and sun visors really lighten up the interior.  The headliner is tight and the dome lights are in working order. The painted dash with silver trim houses the speedometer, temp gauge, fuel gauge and clock. A new reproduction clock and modern classic looking USA-230 radio were installed by MS CLASSIC CARS after the photos were taken. The original clock and radio are included. The classic looking Impala red and white steering wheel is one of the interior highlights. The red, silver and gray door panels look amazing. The front bench seat has been completely re-upholstered and is very comfortable. The rear seat has also been completely re-upholstered and is equally as comfortable. Everything has been restored or replaced such as the chrome rear view mirror, door sills, arm rests, window rollers, door handles, pedals and carpeting. This car is equipped with a factory style air conditioning system which was converted to R134 and works excellent. The compressor was recently rebuilt by Original Air Group in Florida. A new set of red carpeted floor mats with Impala cross flags were added. The trunk compartment was completely restored and is very neat. It was painted with the correct style gray splatter paint and has the correct style trunk mats. It’s also equipped with a full size matching spare and jack tools.

The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout with many new parts. The backside of the hood was painted satin black and new insulation was added. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator support was painted semi-gloss black. The car is powered by a matching numbers 348 V8 that was completely rebuilt and runs excellent. This engine is believed to be original to this car but Chevrolet didn’t stamp VIN numbers on the block in 1961 so it’s impossible to know if it’s original. The engine casting date is May 11th, 1961 which coincides with the build date of the car. The engine pad stamp reads T0710F which decodes as: Tonawanda – July 10th – (1958-1961) 348/ 250HP 4bbl with manual transmission. The stamp also coincides with the build date of the car. The engine has the correct Rochester 4 Jet carburetor. The orange block and valve covers with black air cleaner looks awesome. It’s equipped with correct GM hoses and Delco battery topper with power cut off knob. The engine is cooled by the correct Harrison radiator. The engine breathes through factory manifolds and a correct style dual exhaust system that sounds sweet. The engine is coupled to a matching numbers 3-speed manual transmission that was completely rebuilt and shifts smoothly. The transmission is believed to be original to this car but Chevrolet didn’t stamp VIN numbers on the transmission in 1961 so it’s impossible to know if it’s original. The transmission casting number is #3743368 and the casting date is April 14th, 1961 which coincides with the build date of the car. The power is transferred to the rear end differential which was completely rebuilt. The rear end casting number is #3725899 and casting date is May 19th, 1960.

The undercarriage is also nicely detailed throughout with many new parts. The underside was painted red in a textured material for durability and the X-frame was painted black. A new fuel tank and new lines were added. The manual steering system, suspension components and manual braking system was restored or replaced during the restoration.

***MS CLASSIC CARS only purchases number one and number two condition classic vehicles. We service and detail every vehicle unlike most classic vehicles that are currently being advertised for sale. MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of $9,331.86 servicing and detailing this vehicle. This is documented with an invoice pictured below. We’re the only classic car dealership in the country that does this.  Please understand every vehicle needs something.  Some vehicles just need a lot more than others.  At MS CLASSIC CARS we take eliminate the surprises.  We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. ***

Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers, private parties and auctions aren't exactly what are being advertised for sale.  This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different.  The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages.  Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration.  An example would be a classic vehicle that's  being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc.  Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored.  There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components.  The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale.  A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!

MS CLASSIC CARS specializes in beautiful classic cars and trucks that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I personally have selected these vehicles and take pride in what I represent.  I'm not a classic car dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck.  I’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale.  Most of these vehicles aren’t being advertised correctly and haven’t been serviced or detailed.  This business is my career and reputation which means everything to me.  I do the best of my ability to represent quality classic cars and advertise them honestly.  To be clear I’m not in the restoration business.  I represent classic vehicles that have already been restored.

This vehicle is owned by MS CLASSIC CARS and is located in Seekonk, MA.  I personally have seen, touched and driven this vehicle.  This vehicle has been through a service and detail process which is documented with an MS CLASSIC CARS invoice.  I write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answer all the calls and emails.  I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I know about it.  I'll also give you my opinion if it’s truly the right vehicle for you. I’ll consider all trades and also offer financing if necessary.   Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I’ll make it a very easy process from start to finish.  Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air.  A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package.  I’ll also assist in shipping your vehicle to its new home.

If you've read the introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world.  I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value.  I look forward to working with you.  Please read my website testimonials and eBay positive feedback.  Thank you for the opportunity!
