1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom 308/400HP w/ 5-speed
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS. You might recognize my name or my business name from the beautiful classic cars, trucks and motorcycles I’ve collected and sold nationally. I’ve got over 25 years of classic vehicle experience and continue to learn more every day. I’ve learned a lot and I’m educated in many different makes and models ranging from the early 1900’s to current. I specialize in beautiful classic vehicles that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I only collect number one and number two condition vehicles that are already completed. We slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish but don’t do this anymore. Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 700 classic vehicles which can be seen on the company website sold page. The vehicles are sold to previous customers, referrals and are sold from advertising on various websites, online auctions and live auctions. We’ve featured many classic vehicles at different auctions across the United States. We’ve had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I’m proud to say that MS CLASSIC CARS has accomplished some great things with our vehicles over the years. People recognize value in our vehicles and doing business with us. I consider myself to be an expert in the classic car business and would like to put my experience to work for you.
The MS CLASSIC CARS showroom is located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. This location was established in 2012. The MS CLASSIC CARS service department and multiple storage facilities are also located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. The MS CLASSIC CARS operations are closed to the public. A private viewing of a vehicle can be made scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday. The MS CLASSIC CARS inventory consists of roughly 50 classic cars and trucks that we own, service and detail. We’re the only dealership in the country that services every vehicle we sell and documents it with an invoice. I stand behind every vehicle we sell. Each vehicle is presented with a detailed description, 150+ high quality photos and a video. We don’t offer consignments. When you call you deal directly with me. I know each vehicle well and will go over the vehicle of your interest in full detail. I’ll also assist you with any other needs such as trades, financing, insurance or enclosed shipping. I promise to make the process from start to finish easy and enjoyable. I take a lot of pride in this business and our reputation reflects that. I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. “MS CLASSIC CARS isn’t just another dealer. MS CLASSIC CARS is a brand.”

“This first generation Mustang is the perfect choice for someone who doesn’t want a factory correct car or a completely custom car. It’s a perfect blend of both!” – Marc Schiliro
This beautifully restored 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom is equipped with a 308/400HP V8 and 5-speed manual transmission. It’s in show quality condition throughout and loaded with many upgrades. As the VIN number indicates this Pony car was built in Metuchen, New Jersey on July 20th as a 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback with a 289/200HP V8. As the door tag indicates it has a New York district code. It had a Wimbledon White exterior, Red luxury interior, 4-speed manual transmission and standard rear end with 2.80 gears. From the information gathered the car was restored roughly ten years ago. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car in December of 2022. Upon inspection after the purchase MS CLASSIC CARS decided to do a light restoration of the entire vehicle which was completed in April of 2023.
The exterior of this first generation Mustang is truly striking with its great factory design and color combination. The body is overall very nice. The hood, doors and trunk lid close easily. During the recent light restoration the body was stripped of paint and repainted in its original color of Wimbledon White. The new paint was wet sanded, buffed and detailed to a show quality finish. The car was dressed with red GT vinyl stripes which looks amazing. The front windshield was replaced new and is in excellent condition. The original Ford Car-Lite stamped vent door glass, door glass and rear glass is in very nice condition with only minor signs of wear. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced new such as the window trim, wiper arms and blades, antenna, dual chrome mirrors, chrome GT grille with fog lights, Ford stamped headlights, chrome front bumper, parking light bezels and lenses, door handles, tail light bezels and lenses, GT gas cap and chrome rear bumper. It was decorated with new GT and 302 V8 fender emblems. It was recently outfitted with new chrome 15” mag wheels with red Mustang center caps. The wheels are wrapped with new BF Goodrich Silverstone Radial 215-65-15 Redline tires. Everything on the exterior is in working order such as the parking lights, headlights, fog lights and taillights.
The interior of this first generation Mustang is timeless with its simple and sporty design. It was refinished in its original Red Luxury interior which complements the exterior white color, red stripes and redline tires perfectly. Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced new such as the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, dash pad, gauge cluster, black gauges, simulated wood trim, dash knobs, steering column, wood steering wheel, sill plates, door seals, door panels, door handles, window rollers, console, bucket seats, rear seats, seat belts, carpeting and rubber floor mats. It’s equipped with a new reproduction Rally Pac setup with consists of a RPM gauge and clock. Some of the custom features include a SST shifter with white ball and Retro-Sound custom sound system with door speakers. Everything in the interior is in working order such as the courtesy lights, dash lights, turn signals, horn, gauges, clock, heating system and sound system. The trunk compartment was restored and in very nice condition. It’s equipped with a factory correct style trunk mat. MS CLASSIC CARS has ordered a brand new matching spare wheel and tire that will be included along with jack tools.
The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many upgraded parts. The VIN stamp is on the driver’s side inner fender apron. The backside of the hood is painted white. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator support was repainted in the correct shade of black. The car is powered by a 308 V8 that was dyno tested with 398HP. The engine was rebuilt by well-known NATS Engines in Seekonk, MA. The engine runs excellent on pump gas and is user friendly for a pleasurable driving experience. Everything in the engine compartment was restored or replaced new. Some of the engine high performance parts include an Eagle crank, Scat rods, Mahle forged pistons, Howards roller cam, Ford Racing 302X aluminum heads, Ford Racing lifters, Scorpion roller rockers and Moroso oil pan. The engine was outfitted with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Mustang Powered by Ford valve covers and spec ordered pulleys. Some other upgrades include an Edelbrock AV2 650 carburetor with electric choke, All Star fuel pump, All Star distributor, Taylor wires, electronic ignition and Pertronix Flame Thrower coil. It has factory style hinges, master cylinder, FoMoCo washer bag and Autolite alternator a NAPA battery. The engine is cooled by a reproduction 3 row radiator with Custom Innovations radiator support panel cover. The engine breathes through Summit Racing ceramic coated headers and 2 ½ Pypes dual exhaust system that sounds awesome! The engine is coupled to a Borg Warner T5 5-speed manual transmission that was rebuilt by well-known Georges Transmission in Coventry, RI. It’s equipped with a Mcleod Street Pro 10 ½ clutch that is easy to operate. The power is transferred to the Ford 8” POSI rear end with 3.55 gears that was rebuilt by MS CLASSIC CARS. It’s also equipped with a Borgeson power steering system that works excellent.
The undercarriage is nicely detailed throughout with many upgraded parts. During the recent light restoration the underside was refinished with textured paint for durability. It’s equipped with a larger front sway bar and KYB shocks at all four corners. The car was lowered 1” for better handling. It’s also equipped with front disc brakes with 4-piston calipers.

DESCRIPTION OF THIS VEHICLE**
***MS CLASSIC CARS only purchases number one and number two condition classic vehicles. We service and detail every vehicle unlike most classic vehicles that are currently being advertised for sale. MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of $44,136.10 servicing and detailing this vehicle. This is documented with an invoice pictured below. We’re the only classic car dealership in the country that does this. Please understand every vehicle needs something. Some vehicles just need a lot more than others. At MS CLASSIC CARS we eliminate the surprises. We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. ***
Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers, private parties and auctions aren't exactly what are being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!
MS CLASSIC CARS specializes in beautiful classic cars and trucks that are at a higher level of quality than most being advertised for sale. I personally have selected these vehicles and take pride in what I represent. I'm not a classic car dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck. I’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. Most of these vehicles aren’t being advertised correctly and haven’t been serviced or detailed. This business is my career and reputation which means everything to me. I do the best of my ability to represent quality classic cars and advertise them honestly. To be clear I’m not in the restoration business. I represent classic vehicles that have already been restored.
This vehicle is owned by MS CLASSIC CARS and is located in Seekonk, MA. I personally have seen, touched and driven this vehicle. This vehicle has been through a service and detail process which is documented with an MS CLASSIC CARS invoice. I write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answer all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I know about it. I'll also give you my opinion if it’s truly the right vehicle for you. I’ll consider all trades and also offer financing if necessary. Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I’ll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I’ll also assist in shipping your vehicle to its new home.
If you've read the introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value. I look forward to working with you. Please read my website testimonials and eBay positive feedback. Thank you for the opportunity!
