Its equipped with a Mopar 225 Twin Weber 38 fuel delivery system with Headers and Cherry Bomb muffler. Dare to compare this Plymouth Suburban to all the others that have sold or that are currently being marketed for sale.

The Plymouth Suburban Station Wagon was built from 1949-1978. The body style of this car is referred to as the Separate Series generation which was built from 1956-1961. There known for the recognizable egg-crate front grille and stylish rear quarters. As the VIN number indicates this car was originally built as a 1959 Plymouth Suburban Station Wagon with an 8-cylinder engine. This car was acquired in 2012 by a gentleman who lives in Wisconsin. This gentleman has many years of automotive restoration experience. At the time of purchase this car was in need of a complete restoration so it made the perfect candidate for him to restore. The car originally had a white exterior and a two tone gray interior. Although the engine and transmission were gone, the car retained 100% of its original sheet metal. During the restoration the only sheet metal that needed replacing was the floor and rear lower compartment. A photo of the car on a rotisserie during the restoration is presented. This restoration took longer than expected because its not a common model and very few parts are reproduced. Some pieces like the polished side molding had to be custom made to look like the factory one. After countless hours and dollars the restoration was completed in the summer of 2020. MS CLASSIC CARS had purchased a vehicle from this gentleman in the past so he called MS CLASSIC CARS for first right of refusal. MS CLASSIC CARS jumped on the opportunity and purchased the car in August of 2020.

The exterior of this car is stunning with its unique design and striking great looks. This is definitely a seldom seen show quality piece. It retains of all of its original exterior sheet metal. The body is very nice with good gap lines throughout. The hood, doors and rear tailgate close nicely. During the restoration a custom hood scoop was added. Although the hood scoop is nonfunctional it gives the car an aggressive appearance. The exterior was painted GM Polo Green Metallic on the body and Toyota Dark Grey Metallic on the roof. This is a beautiful color combination that dresses this car perfectly. The quality paintwork has been detailed to a show quality shine by MS CLASSIC CARS. All of the tinted glass is original with exception of the front windshield which was replaced. The original glass does show slight wear and tear as expected.  Everything on the exterior is original and was restored such as the window trim, wipers, antenna, headlight trim, front spilt grille, door handles, rear quarter trim, tail light trim and emblems. The original front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. The side molding was custom made to look like the factory one. The car sits on new Keystone 5-spoke style black wheels that are staggered. The wheels are wrapped with new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires that are 155-80-15 on the front and 205-60-15 on the rear. This wheel and tire combination gives the car a very era correct hot rod appearance.

The interior of this car is also stunning and in show quality condition throughout. This interior is very spacious and comfortable. The entire interior was restored during the restoration. It was finished in black and gray two tone color combination including the leather upholstery. The new black headliner is tight with black slats. The black wrapped sun visors are also tight and padded. The top of the dash was painted black and the bottom was painted gray metallic. The large rear view mirror is mounted to the dash which is very cool. All of the original dash trim, dash knobs, switches, gauges and radio were gone through individually. The original Plymouth steering wheel is in very nice condition and painted gray metallic. The door panels including the arm rests were wrapped in black and gray two tone leather upholstery which looks gorgeous. It has custom door handles and window cranks which operate very nicely. The front bench seat and rear bench seat frames were acid dipped and repainted. The seats were refoamed and also wrapped in black and gray two tone leather upholstery which also looks gorgeous. The folding rear seat allows for a completely flat cargo compartment. Its equipped with a chrome shifter with white shift knob, black rubber boot and chrome bezel. It has all new quality grade carpeting throughout with new floor mats. Everything in the interior is in working order such as the dome light, headlights, turn signals, dash lights, gauges, horn, wipers, heating system and AM radio.

The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout with many custom upgrades. The backside of the hood was painted satin black. The firewall was painted GM Polo Green Metallic. The inner fenders and radiator support was painted satin black. Everything in the engine compartment was restored or replaced such as the hood hinges, wiring, master brake cylinder, wiper motor, hoses, clamps, belts, etc. The car is powered by a rebuilt 225 6cyl with Clifford Performance Cam and Clifford Intake. The engine was completely rebuilt and runs great. Its equipped with a Mopar 225 Twin Weber 38 fuel delivery system with Headers and Cherry Bomb muffler. Its equipped with a Powermaster Performance alternator for charging. The engine is cooled with a Chrysler #2582937 AB radiator that works great. The engine is coupled to A230 3-speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch and Mcleod hydraulic throw out bearing. The power is transferred to the 1970 Mopar B-body open rear end with highway gears.

The undercarriage is also nicely detailed throughout. This undercarriage is nice enough to display with mirrors at a car show. The floors and rear lower compartment were replaced new during the restoration so there free of any damage. The steering system, suspension system and braking system was completely gone through during the restoration. Its equipped with a Scarebird Classic disc brake conversion with Wilwood portioning valve.

This 1959 Plymouth Suburban Station Wagon is The Ultimate Street Sled because its rare, stylish and drives great. Classic Station Wagons are very desirable and are becoming very collectable. This is a great opportunity!
